not the end of the world

“We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude.”
~Cynthia Ozick

This past few days, social media went on frenzy because of the end of the world hype...

some made fun of it and some took it seriously...

i am not that affected because if it is indeed the end of the world, i will welcome it wholeheartedly as I have no regrets with what i've done with mah life...

so far, my life has been great and I thank Him for all the experiences He've thought me...

yes, mah life is indeed great but deemed not perfect.. i believe nothing is perfect in this world but if I put mah faith and trust in Him, everything will be worth the living...

so how often do I pause to appreciate what I have in mah life?

darn! i may say that i have a considerable shares of ups and downs and i always tease Him that he keeps on rattling mah cage to test mah faith in Him... I do complain a lot... trying to understand what His plans for me... but irregardless of everything happened to me... I never stop appreciating all He've done to me...

may it be small or big.. i never fail to pause and utter a simple thank to Him...

when I was young, i sort of took things for granted... I believe many other did so, too... after all, we were young and we didn’t know what life could be like on the other side...

and then slowly as I grew up, I began to appreciate things around me more... as I saw more and more of the world out there, I realized all the things I’d been given are not rights, but privileges....

i realized that being literate is a not a right, but a gift...

i realized there is a lot of war and violence in the world, and I’m lucky to live in a country where it’s safe and peaceful....

i realized there are people out there who don’t have their five senses, and to have mine is indeed a gift...

i realized the world is so beautiful, and we’re lucky to live in such an amazing world...

sadly, it hurts that sometimes it’s easy to feel bad because we’re going through a tough time in life... however, remember that no matter how bad our situation may seem, still there are tens of thousands of things to be grateful for in life... as long as we believe and put our trust in Him..

afterall, His big day is just around the corner... :-)
