x factor uk... one direction

i am supposed to sleep early tonight but while browsing my emails, i run through some spams about x factor non sense... and suddenly my adrenalin kicked in and i was liked, i want to read more about x factor... so i opened wikipedia, and searched X FACTOR UK...

running through last season's competition, i youtubed the finalists to check their talents and one finalist that struck me the most is ONE DIRECTION... this artist is under the group category being mentored by Simon Cowell... and sadly they failed to win the finals but finished a strong 3rd in the season.... though they lost i see a great potential for this group to succeed, far more better i guess than the season champion.... i just remember that its been quite sometime that UK have not produced any good boy bands, and Simon Cowell easily capitalized with the group looks, charisma and talent by signing them in his label....

ONE DIRECTION is a five-member vocal group made up of
  • Liam Payne (born 29 August 1993 in Wolverhampton), a music technology student at City of Wolverhampton College,
  • Louis Tomlinson (born 24 December 1991 in Doncaster), a student at Hall Cross School,
  • Niall Horan (born 13 September 1993 in Mullingar, Westmeath, Ireland), a student at Coláiste Mhuire, Mullingar.
  • Harry Styles (born 1 February 1994 from Holmes Chapel, Cheshire) a student at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School
  • and Zain Malik (born 12 January 1993 from East Bowling, Bradford) a student at Tong High School.
so herebelow is their complete journey in the finals of X Factor... mah personal favorite is their Week 1 and Week 4 performance... so enjoy!!!!

Week 1. La Vida Loca

Week 2. My Life Would Suck Without You

Week 3. Nobody Knows

Week 4. Total Eclipse of My Heart

Week 5. Kids in America

Week 6. Something About the Way You Look Tonight

Week 7. All You Need Is Love

Week 8. First Song. Summer of 69

Week 8. Second Song. You Are So Beautiful

Week 9. First Song. Only Girl in the World

Week 9. Second Song. Chasing Cars

Semi Finals. First Song. Your Song

Semi Finals. Second Song. She's the One duet with Robbie Williams

Final Perfomance. Torn

and their glorious defeat.. announcement of their elimination from the competition.

though they lost, the competition is just the start of their great career and i look forward for their first single release this coming March 2012... i just cant wait for this group to conquer the world and be the next boy band sensation.... so i close this blog of mine with the performance of the Final 3 with one of mah fave boy band of all time, TAKE THAT singing one of their great song, Never Forget...

the next tennis superstars

i've been following the game of tennis since then... and it never failed to make my day especially when i watch a great game of tennis...

and it become a habit of mine to forecast who will be the next shining stars of tennis... i said it before that lleyton hewiit and andy roddick will make it on top, those we're the days before roger federer and rafael nadal dominated the game of tennis... and i was never wrong... i placed mah bet also that justine henin and kim clijster will snatch the top woman player of the world... and i was right...

likewise these past years, i felt like a winner when i gambled that novak djokovic, andy murray and richard gasquet will break the top 10 ranking, though the latter was plague with injuries, but still mah penny is in him, that soon he will make a comeback...

in the woman side, i said that the serbs will dominate the top ranking, and ana ivanovic and jelena jankovic really wowed the world...

now, i have mah fearless forecast again for the next tennis superstars this coming years... without much ado, here are the young players that are breaking the ranks already...

RICARDAS BERANKIS of Lithuania.

Rica, for the first time made the 2011 Australian Open main draw without competing in the qualifying round. In the first round he defeated Marinko Matosevic. In the second round, he defeated former world number 3 David Nalbandian. But in the third round, he was defeated by David Ferrer.

Next he played in the 2011 SAP Open, where he was able to match his best performance on the ATP World Tour by reaching the quarterfinals. There he lost to Canadian and eventual champion Milos Raonic. Currently he is ranked world # 74.

2011 Australian Open highlights of Berankis - Nalbaldian Match

KEI NISHIKORI of Japan

this year, 2011, he opened the season in Chennai, where he upset two-time defending champion Marin Cilic. Then, in the 2011 Australian Open, Kei reached the 3rd round. He defeated Fabio Fognini of Italy, he then ousted Florian Mayer of Germany and sadly his run was ended in the third round by the ninth-seed Fernando Verdasco of Spain. After his 3rd round appearance in Melbourne, his ranking rose to #70.

Kei, winning his first ATP Title against #1 seed James Blake in Delray Beach Open.

MILOS RAONIC of Canada

Milos successfully qualified for the 2011 Australian Open. He won his first round match against German Björn Phau, his first victory in a main draw Grand Slam match. In the second round he defeated No. 22 seed Michaël Llodra of France, becoming the first Canadian man in 10 years to reach the third round of a singles Grand Slam. He then knocked out the Russian World No. 10 Mikhail Youzhny in four sets to reach the fourth round. He is the first qualifier to make the 4th round of a Grand Slam since 1999. Playing his next match, he fell to World No. 7 David Ferrer.

Raonic's impressive performance at the young age of 20, already elevated him to a career high ranking of World No. 37, making him the highest-ranked Canadian male singles player in ATP Rankings history

Milos highlights in the Japan Open 2010, Single and Doubles Draw.

and for the woman side,

again another serb, BOJANA JOVANOVSKI

an aggressive baseline player, she qualified for the Medibank International Sydney. She defeated Kaia Kanepi, Aravane Rezaï  and Flavia Pennetta clearing her way to her first WTA semifinal, though she lost to eventual future champion, Na Li.

Currently, her career high ranking is at #55, making her the youngest player in the Top 100 of the WTA Tour.

Bojana's best shots during the 2nd set of her Semifinal match in Sydney Open against Na Li.

though i have more young players in mah mind, mah top bets are in these four young tennis athletes. and i will be more than happy, if all my predictions will be right again... go! go! go! mah bets!!! :-)

spread happiness....

with all the bad news around us... sort of we are longing for happiness... as always, i tend to find inspiration anywhere for me just to smile... and one thing i find that stimulates mah facial muscle to relax are the amazing coca cola advertisements....
yes, i am always impressed with how coca cola do their ads... and mah personal favorite that never fail to make me smile is their "spread happiness" material... this is the ad where a coca cola vending machine is placed in a certain area and when a coca cola lover drops a penny, instead of vending the usual coke, the vending machine will dispense a surprise.... and whoala! next thing is that everyone are smiling and again coca cola spreads happiness...

so without much ado, here's happiness for everyone.... :-)

in the US

jump to UK

flying to INDIA

and now the craze hits PINAS, though with a twist... pinoy spreads happiness through a truck... applaud!!! :-)

and lastly how about a CONVENIENCE STORE....

so when you're feeling down, find inspiration to always SMILE... and hope this ads helps!...

remembering.... dexed rada

i am supposed to write a fun topic for mah blog today but a tragic news from manila just struck me... i opened mah FB for updates and saw a lot of condolences for one of mah friend... i just learned that just earlier today, i lost a very good friend of mine... it was creepy as his last FB posted status was below...
when he first posted this, i didn’t mind because as for him it was his normal skit during the hearts day.... so i thought it was his normal love thing... but now, after i heard the news... i realized that maybe this was his farewell note... though it was scary, i will not focus on that matter, but i would rather commemorate and share mah fond memories with him....
one of his last FB profile pic
i can still remember the very first day we’ve met... it was way back 2005, in a HR-ER meeting in which he is presiding and i was dragged into that meeting by my friend jill... i was introduced by jill as the newest member of the group and since i was also new in the company and hardly know anyone yet, the room turned into a total awkward silence... in that moment i can feel the resistance from the group as i simply introduced mahself as the dashing-sharp-hard-to-get-maldito-biatch-supladito elmer.... :-) probably i did that because i was dragged into that meeting without mah consent... but as the meeting progress, i sort of got interested and i started to join the discussion, and from there, i believe, the group changed their impression of me...
to cut the story short, the weekly HR-ER meeting turned to be part of mah weekly routine and i have become an active 4R Member in short time... that weekly meeting was the venue where our friendship started... and the rest they say was history...
excited for the registration to open
the 4R Family; me, rex, dexed, edwin, dottie and popoy
me, dottie and dexed cheering for the event success
CL Pasig Battle of the Bands with the rest of 4R Family.

we shared a lot of experience from that group and our friendship was pushed beyond the walls of SiTEL...
i can still remember the day that we went to Baguio and got stranded in the middle of the Typhoon... on how we shared your boss sentiments towards our safety and how everyone cheered me up while mah boss is harassing me through text....
i can still recall on how you were scorned by Darlene for a malicious gossip you’ve supposedly got from me which were not true ... we held our stand together and able to breeze that storm and where i believe our friendship was first tested...
go japan! in baguio
excited for CL Baguio Battle of the Bands
with the CL top honchos in Baguio

4R Family conquered Baguio

from there, there were no more hurdles we cannot face, as our friendship becomes stronger.... with the group effort, we started so many events that became a yearly event for the company... we initiated tons of rules and policy that until now are still in use.... we became the epitome of a good 4R Team... an envy of other HR – ER Team of SiTEL.... our years in 4R, was one of mah best years ever...
sleepless in baguio... stranded and sad...
also with your help and guidance, i must say i was able to sharpen my event organizing skills... for the first time in mah professional life, i became a socially active member of an organization in a corporation...
though i can spend mah whole day writing tons of good memories i shared with you, but i have to stop now...
i am still in shock and i cant believe that you’re gone now.... it was just like yesterday that we had our last talk and you shared your last secret with me.... i felt so honoured that time as you intimately shared to me and Jena your secret... I am sad because, you were supposed to attend mah baby christening and you failed to show up.... though i failed to tell you that i did not count it against you because i know you were unavailable with a short notice given.... :-(
wherever you are mah friend... i will always pray for you.... you’re done with your mission here, you already left an imprint of love and shared your life with all of us and you’re now with our Creator.... i am truly sad for your departure but i have to celebrate your union with our Lord....
 DEXTER RADA
+ February 20, 2011
I will surely miss you dexed.... your memories will be safe with me forever and always, until we meet again.... rest in peace mah friend...

love and. . .

gosh! It’s good to be finally backed from a very long vacation... an end to mah soaking and bathing in the gorgeous and wonderful beaches of NSW... so i’ll take this first few lines to thanks Tita Mares, Tito Dennis and Tita Merce for everything... if not for them, i’ll not have this chance of having one of mah greatest time in mah life....
in Shelly's Beach

and yes, i’ll definitely miss our jump shots....
in Batemans Bay Wharf

now, mah body is freakin aching badly from the triple layered tan line... cant wait for mah body to skin itself in the next few days....

so back to mah topic, since i didn’t have a chance to write something about love this heart month, i’ll take this opportunity to share something about love...

this was inspired by one of our many conversations topics during the two weeks trip... it all started with a fun quotations from Tito Dennis about love and something else.... he is quick to relate everything we do from love and how it clearly explains anything we do to anyone we love... but to be precise, we are pointing out that love is aint just enough for everything...

and as the conversation grows, it hit me that though we laugh about it, our quotes really have something in it... it had sense that i know those facts he shared were the foundation of their marriage and he was able to share it to us  in a funny way...

so i’ll share you our conversation of some situations about love... feel free to correlate yourself with our stories and please be reminded that i am not a love guru so i see these situations as a good example of what i’m trying to share.. so please spare we with your violent reactions... :-)

“when the wife will not eat their favourite steak because his husband has gout”
... it is love and compassion

“when the husband tends to disagree with his wife does but does nothing and not count it against his wife”
... it is love and respect

“when wife will drive hundred miles for his husband”
... it is love and dedication

“when wife decided to skyjump and tell his husband it is ok and husband concur”
... it is love and trust

“when their friends will not eat yet despite them being so freakin hungry and friends does not complain”
... it is love and friendship

Tito Dennis and Tita Mares in Narooma Bay

And the list goes on and on.... this type of situations where our conversation topics throughout the rest of the trip and i must admit i really enjoyed the laugh and somehow made me admire more Tito Dennis and Tita Mares, i would really say that their 25 years of marriage is the great epitome of what great love really means....

on top of Sugarloaf Lighthouse

so i hope i shared something to everyone some sense about love and i will close mah case that though love can conquers everything, love is just aint enough reason to make any relationship stronger... so find something else from your relationship and tie it up with love....

happy valentines day

i must admit, i am not that type of person who knows how to make mah special someone to be "kilig" on special days like this... i can plan any event for anyone perfectly, but if its for me... it spells disaster...

i dont know, maybe that's how it goes...
today, Feb 14... i will be celebrating this special day alone... this will be the first time that i didn't plan for anything...

no flowers to send,
no dinner date to book,
no movies to watch
and no gifts to hide...

it saddens me because, as much as i want to spend this special day with mah special someone... it will be impossible... no technologies in this world can make me feel the same feeling holding the hands of someone i love on special day like this...
i cannot hide this sadness but somehow a conversation with the one i love would briefly satisfy my thirst for love today...

i wish and i pray for the day that the person i love will finally join me here and celebrate each of our day like valentines day...

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY MAH VANILLA CREAMZ!!!

as i promise till the end, my heart will always belongs to you...

hold my hands

i am lost...

i dont know what to do anymore...

i just need someone to hold my hands....

even just for today...

Sunday, February 06, 2011

i'll find mah place....

i've been down from time to time... and i sometimes feel that everything is going against me...

my priorities are distorted, mah motivations are weak and i find myself lost in no where....

i hate it when i make our Lord mah excuse for all mah failures... i know, i understand where i'm going but i dont know how...

i maybe a complete failure this past years but i will not surrender... i will always entrust everything to Him and no matter how deep mah wounds are, i will stand up... i will stand up soon...

and with His guidance, i'll soon find mah place...

a blessed Sunday to everyone....

starstruck dance hits

again, i find mahself traversing the memory lanes... and out of no where, i am humming a tune... a familiar tune... then i realized it was once a hit way back.... a tune popularized by starstruck... the old reality artista search back the old days...
yep, it was aired nightly in GMA 7, where i was a solid kapuso fan, hahaha... and i remember that this show raised the standard in searching the next philippines stars... where they are not fully a star, but already a star in their own rights... though some says that it was baduy, but well the product of this show are now one of the philiipines big stars...

so without much ado, join me in reminiscing the familiar tunes of starstruck, where i cant help mahself but to dance, hahahaha!! :-)

STARSTRUCK BATCH 1. To the tune of Hey Yah!

STARSTRUCK BATCH 2. El Biro Biro Time

kung hei fat choi!!!

as this is mah first year down under... this will be mah first chinese new year here too!!!!

though i am not that excited to celebrate it here as i dont have chinese friends here to celebrate it with... darn! the more i miss manila in festivities like this.... i miss the tikoy... i miss the lucky charms... i miss the feng shui... i miss the dragon dance... i miss the firework display and so on and so on.... haizt!!!

sometimes i just want to go sydney's chinatown just to feel the atmosphere of celebration (as per the sydney events website, chinese new year in downtown sydney is a big event)... and who knows, i might bump mah next chinese bff, hahahaha!!!!....

well kidding aside, i just want to wish everyone good luck and welcome the year of the rabbit with open heart...

though i might be extra careful this year as the rabbit calendar says, this is not a good year for a rooster person like me... so i might be needing all your prayers and charms to keep luck coming unto me and keep me away from harms...

moreover i believe, that the stars is just a mere guide, and it is still us who creates our own faith and destiny (zenaida seva's tone)....

KUNG HEI FAT CHOI!!!!

who wants to be millionaire... next time....

i'm browsing you tube the other night and i came upon this videos of the show who wants to be a millionaire?...

who wants to be a millionaire is big game show originated in UK and being syndicated by different countries.. contestant joins the show hoping that they can answer and win the one million dollar question... duh! one in a million chance that that question can be answered and the money climb will be very hard and ordinary people will have a hard time answering it...thus, experts coined the phrase "million-dollar-question" for questions that are hard to answer...

likewise yes, ive been amazed by the intelligence of the contestant who can answer tough-am-sweating-badly-out-of-this-world questions... two cents, either they have einstein brains or able to prepare and review well before the show like what student does before they take their exams...

moreover what catches my attention are the videos of the epic fails of the contestant... contestant who front themselves as know all person  but sadly kicked out from the show in a very simple, no brainer first question, hehehe... so prepare yourself for some good laugh this lovely tuesday.... :-)

lesson learned: though shall not brag yourelf the next time

i should have not quit mah job! darn!

an epitome of less talk, less mistake person
